Does my heat pump leak? There is water underneath it.

There are two methods of testing to see whether your heat pump leaks. Switch off the heat pump but leave the swimming pool pump on. Did the water dry up within a couple of hours? That means there is no leak in the heat pump. You can also test the water around the heat pump with a chlorine test strip. Does the water around the heat pump have a different chlorine level to the pool water? That means there is probably no leak in the heat pump.
