MixRite dosing pumps for professional water systems
MixRite pumps are powered by the water flowing through the line, with no external electrical power required for the dosing process. Additive is injected proportionally to the water flow, helping maintain a consistent dosing ratio. Bosta supplies a selected range of MixRite pumps, variants and spare parts for irrigation, livestock and water-treatment applications.

Water-powered proportional dosing

MixRite pumps use the water flowing through the line to provide proportional dosing without an external electrical power supply. As water passes through the pump, additive is drawn from the stock solution and injected in proportion to the water flow. Depending on the model, the dosing ratio is fixed or adjustable.

Water-powered
Operates using water flow, with no external electrical power required for the dosing process.
Proportional dosing
Additive is injected in proportion to the water flowing through the system.
Fixed or adjustable ratio
Depending on the model, MixRite is available with fixed or adjustable dosing ratios.
Different flow capacities
Models are available for applications ranging from low-flow systems to high-capacity installations.
Recommended standard in-line installation
1. Main valve 5. Manometer (pressure gauge)
2. Filter – 130 micron min. (120 mesh) 6. Anti-siphon valve
3. Backflow preventer 7. Operation valve
4. Pressure regulator

Flow ranges, dosing ratios, operating conditions and installation requirements vary by model. Refer to the individual product data, installation instructions and chemical compatibility information before selection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Selecting the correct MixRite model depends on the water flow rate, operating pressure, required dosing ratio, connection size and the chemical being dosed. The pump must operate within the specified flow and pressure range of the selected model, while the seal and material configuration must be compatible with the additive. Always check the technical data for the individual model before selection.

No. Within the specified operating range of the selected model, MixRite is designed to maintain proportional dosing as water flow changes. TEFEN also states that the additive-to-water ratio remains consistent despite variations in water pressure. The system must, however, remain within the flow and pressure limits specified for the pump.

A bypass installation is required when the water flow in the main line exceeds the working flow range of the selected MixRite pump. TEFEN also recommends a bypass when dosing is not required continuously. In high-flow systems, the bypass allows only part of the total water flow to pass through the injector while maintaining the differential pressure needed for operation.

TEFEN recommends installing a minimum 120-mesh / 130-micron filter upstream of the MixRite pump. For water with a high particle content, the MixRite 2.5 installation manual specifies that finer filtration, such as 250 mesh / 60 micron, may be required depending on water quality.

Yes, on MixRite models equipped with an On/Off system. In the OFF position, the dosing action stops while water continues to flow through the pump. TEFEN recommends using the On/Off function when the additive container is empty or when water needs to continue flowing without additive injection.

Yes, but the correct material configuration must be selected for the chemical being dosed. TEFEN recommends special PVDF models when the acid concentration in the stock solution is above 6%. In TEFEN's application coding, PVDF versions for acid applications use AFLAS seals and Hastelloy springs. Chemical compatibility should always be checked before installation.

The standard MixRite 2.5 is intended primarily for irrigation applications, while the PO version is designed for livestock dosing applications. TEFEN identifies PO versions with a red application sleeve. Depending on the specific PO configuration, TEFEN lists NBR or EPDM seals, while standard irrigation versions use NBR seals. Always check the specification of the individual pump before selecting a model.
