Rainwater solutions
From roof to irrigationA rainwater system is more than a pump. Depending on the application, water is collected, filtered and stored before a pump or booster delivers it through pipework to its end use. DAB lists rainwater reuse among the duties of its Garden and Jet self-priming pumps and for the ESYBOX Line. Bosta can supply the other components around the DAB pump, depending on the project. How to choose the right DAB pump
Pump selection starts with the water source and installation, then the required performance and finally the liquid and control requirements. Confirm the final choice against the individual DAB performance curve and product data.
Source & installationStart with the water source – for example a well, tank, cistern, rainwater store or mains supply – and decide whether the pump needs to be surface-mounted or submersible. |
Duty & performanceDetermine the required flow and the total head or pressure the system needs at the operating point. |
Liquid & controlMatch the pump to the liquid – clean water, rainwater, drainage, effluent or sewage – and check the available power supply and control method. |

Efficient circulation for heating and cooling systems
A circulator keeps water moving round a closed circuit, such as a heating system. It does not supply or pressurise water, so it is a different job from the pumps above. EVOSTA is DAB's range of wet-rotor electronic circulators.

Mechanical strength, electronic control. DAB describes EVOSTA 2 as combining the robustness of a mechanical circulator with the benefits of an electronic one.

Yes. DAB offers pumps and pressure-boosting solutions for selected rainwater reuse applications. The appropriate model depends on whether the water is stored in a tank or cistern and on the required flow and pressure. Rainwater is non-potable, and the system must be designed for the duty.
It depends on the model. ESYBOX integrates its control electronics. Some Jet and Garden pumps need a pressure vessel, pressure switch or controller. Control-D adds automatic start/stop with dry-running protection, and Active Driver Plus is a variable frequency drive.
Drainage pumps move clear or dirty water. Wastewater duties such as effluent and sewage involve solids, and grinder pumps cut them so smaller pipes can be used. Check each model's solids passage on its data sheet.
