Can frost damage a heat pump?

Be careful with frost. If frost is forecast, drain the heat exchanger to prevent the pipes in the pump or the heat exchanger bursting. Switch off the heat pump and the circulation pump. Disconnect the water pipes and suck the water out of the heat exchanger via the water inlet with a flexible hose. Redirect the swimming pool water around the unit.
